The Herbal Recreation Lifestyle And Where To Buy Lifestyle Related Products

Nov 17th, 2010 Posted in hobbies | no comment »

While marijuana remains illegal in many areas, there are a number of herbs along with this controversial one which can be used for recreation. As such, while smoking pipes, vaporizer pipes and herb grinders are primarily used in the consumption of marijuana, one can also use such lifestyle tools with other herbs. For example, where one may choose to vaporize marijuana, others may choose to use such a vaporizer pipe for other herbs which are known for journeying and shamanic experiences.

Of course, there is no question that many people in California and other areas in which medical marijuana is legally available have easier access to such products. For, while often such States only sell medical marijuana through a variety of States sponsored and supported dispensaries, such lifestyle products can be found in a number of head and lifestyle shops in most areas, whether such an area supports medical marijuana or otherwise. However, as has been shown by the arrest of some head shop owners in the past who sold across State lines, many shop owners are now hesitant to sell such items by mail.

So, if one lives in an area in which a local bookstore may sell such periodicals, one can often find a variety of options on where to order such products. Of course, as many individuals often fear leaving a paper trail for the purchase of such products, some have now started using more anonymous prepaid credit cards when ordering such items. Although, if one lives in an area in which medical marijuana is available and one has a certificate, then most often one can justify the ordering of such lifestyle magazines and products in association with such a permit.

As such, one can not only protect oneself but others who may not realize shipping such items across various State lines or regions is a crime. For, most often such product are sold for tobacco use only. Of course, one must also be careful in relation to the language one uses when visiting various head shops or lifestyle centers in certain areas which such behavior is not as openly accepted. For, often in States where the use of such products with herb such as marijuana is still considered a crime, if a store owner feels one is using terms which do not relate to the use of such products for tobacco use only, one may be asked to leave such an establishment.

Although, for individuals who live in more open and accepting regions of the world when it comes to the consumption of marijuana, one can often find such items displayed openly in various glass stores and head shops. In addition, one can often purchase individuals smoking pipes and vaporizers from various individual artists at a number of art and music events. As such, when one is in need of such items, one often has many different options on where to obtain same.

Also, while many States are currently experiencing financial difficulty, it is believed that if and when California passes Prop 19, regulates and taxes marijuana to the point of financial recovery, other States may follow suit. However, while Amsterdam may have open legalization and California may soon follow suit, Federal guidelines remain in effect which state that the simple possession and use of marijuana in the United States remains illegal. As such, regardless of the area in which one resides, one may still want to use caution and purchase such products anonymously when and where possible to avoid leaving a paper trail.

So, unless one lives in Amsterdam, or another country where the use of such herb is legal, one may want to be super cautious about smoking marijuana in public. For, even in States where partaking of such herb is still illegal though decriminalized, one can still be charged with possession of paraphernalia, if not possession. However, in most cases, as long as one is holding an amount under the amount defined by law in which one only receives a ticket, most authority figures often simply take the paraphernalia, the herb and let the people go either with a simple ticket or warning.

Therefore, regardless as to whether one uses such herb for medical use or recreation, it is always advisable to know who one is purchasing various lifestyle products such as shisha pipes and vaporizer pipe from, and whether the sale of such items is allowed across State lines. For, as some well known individuals have seen in the past, doing so can prevent either fines, jail time or both. As such, when in the market for such products, one may want to purchase such items either with cash or a prepaid credit card to avoid leaving a paper trail.

Smoking Hurts Big Time

Jul 18th, 2009 Posted in health | no comment »

It can be tough for smokers and non-smokers alike to get to grips with the issues surrounding the substance and habit of smoking but, as the saying goes, history can teach us a lot. Over the years, smoking has had a significant impact on communities, culture, and individuals, so it can be tough to track down exactly where smoking begins and culture, habit, and personal freedom end. Nowadays the addictive pass-time is more controversial than ever, as widely accepted medical reports have conclusively proven the impact of smoking on individuals, and the previously unimagined impact of secondary smoke inhalation. With that in mind, any research of the subject should begin with an understanding of its origins.

The bizarre story of smoking begins some eight thousand years ago – though no scientist would dare claim an exact date. This is when, at a guess, tobacco plants began growing in their addictive nicotine form. Shortly after this, native Central American Mayan civilization began using tobacco during rituals by both chewing and burning the plants leaves. This use was obviously popular with some, as a form of smoking became the norm for many American civilizations.

Unremarkably, the use of tobacco and smoking continued in the Americas without interruption for approximately 3000 years until the continent was discovered by eastern explorers from Europe – specifically Spain and Great Britain. Rodriguez De Jerez, an explorer like Columbus, became the first non Native American smoker to try smoking. In fact, he enjoyed it so much that he bought a quantity back to Spain, only to be arrested when he tried smoking it in public. Thus begins the controversial element in tobaccos long history.

Irrespective or Rodriguez’s luck, tobacco and smoking spread rapidly throughout the European elite once they began to understand (and try) it. Sir John Hawkings and Sir Frances Drake were the most likely candidates to bring the first large shipments of tobacco back to europe, though commercial shipping did not begin for some years. In fact it was Sir Walter Raleigh who popularised the drug in Great Britain, which soon saw royalty and the aristocracy lighting up as a point of style.

Tobacco and smokings first major hiccup came in the form of a King James I decree, which banned smoking in Londons pubs. At the time James declared that tobacco was “an invention of Satan,” a law which soon went up in smoke when he nationalized the production of smoking products and even reduced taxes to producers and importers. Tobacco and smoking had reached the ‘civilized’ word, and would grow in popularity and availability over the next thousand years to become Europe and Americas drug of choice.

Tobacco and smoking remained a relatively expensive pass time in Europe, primarily limited by the slow pace and expense of importing such bulky products. This meant that uptake with the lower and middle classes remained slim, that is until cigarettes were invented. Researchers generally agree that Egyptian soldiers are the most likely inventors (and prefectures) of the paper rolled cigarette having, as they did by this point, a relatively good home grown supply of tobacco. Once again tobacco use went from strength to strength as production and importing costs plummeted and cultural demand grew. Finally, in 1950 what may one day be recognized as the death toll for tobacco was sounded when the British Medical Journal published a paper drawing links between lung cancer and smoking. US Surgeon General Luther Terry would later announce an unequivocal link between the drug and cancer.

Since 1965 tobacco use has remained relatively constant, but that is not to say that gigantic efforts have and are being made to reduce and ultimately eradicate its use. In the UK government officials have once again banned smoking from public places, including pubs. In the US state and federal law makers have been locked in bitter battle with cigarette manufacturers to increase the visibility of health warnings and reduce the targeting of smoking products to youngsters.

Cuban Cigars For The First Timer

Jul 9th, 2009 Posted in fun | no comment »

Many cigar enthusiast do a lot of talking about how much they enjoy a good Cuban cigar. The fact of the matter is, all Cuban cigars don’t taste alike. Although most of the tobacco that comes from the area is very high quality and the rolling is superior, you may have differences between the various brands that can make them very pleasant or unpleasant, depending on your own particular taste. That is why it is necessary to go over a little bit of information on Cuban cigars for beginners, especially if you are just getting started with cigar smoking overall.

It is very rare for you to actually come across any Cuban cigars that are mild. As a matter of fact, most of the best-known Cuban cigars are actually quite strong and are well known for their specific flavor. There are other ways to rank a Cuban cigar other than its flavor, however, one of these is by the way that it is put together. Cuban cigars are notorious for being hand rolled tightly and for smoking very well.

Cuban cigars also come in various styles. Particularly the shapes and sizes such as Robusto, Torpedo etc. Some are short, some are long and the best way to find your size is to try them out. Cuban cigars are one of those things that you can read about it as much as you want, but to truly experience it, you have to try it yourself. Some brands I can suggest to get you going are Fonseca, Montecristo and Bolivar. Good way to get into the Cuban cigar game is to try the ones above. These are some amazing smokes and I highly recommend them before you try the Cohiba, also known as the king of Cuban cigars.

I truly appreciate the variety in Cuban cigar brands. Since they are all controlled by Habanos SE (Cuban government), the quality on all of these cigars is simply phenomenal. The best way to enjoy Cuban cigars is with your friends and family or if you just want to take it easy (Like i usually do), pop open a bottle of wine and smoke one with it. It is the ultimate experience. Just you and the cigar with some nice wine on the side is one of the best things that I’ve discovered for my self.

One thing that you’re going to need to be careful of, however, is imitation Cuban cigars. This is especially the case in the United States where Cuban cigars are illegal to sell or to smoke. In fact, many people that live in the United States never actually get to enjoy a true Cuban cigar unless they are on a cruise ship or in another special situation.

Women Enjoy Cuban Cigars Too

Jul 7th, 2009 Posted in entertainment | no comment »

Cuban cigars is not a pleasure just limited to men. Women have come a long way to run right next to the boys and even when it comes to Cuban cigars, some of the most famous Cuban cigar smokers are women. Believe it or not, it was the female monarchs back in the day that helped Cuban cigars get the prestige that they truly deserve. Women and Cuban cigars have an untold history and today hopefully you and I can

It use to be that women were considered lesser than ‘man’ and believe it or not, their are still tons of people and large societies that still think in such a horrible manner. However, never underestimate the power of a woman, she’s has fought for centuries for her ‘god given’ rights and rightfully so. It is my pleasure to announce that Cuban cigars is something that both parties can share, men and women.

Women unfortunately had to fight for lots of things since the beginning of time. More so than men had to as in almost all societies, women were always considered as second class citizens. So when Cuban cigar got super popular back in the 1900s, women who were found smoking were considered witches. I don’t know what was wrong with people back than but apparently women smoking was a very bad thing.

So what finally got society to except women as Cuban cigar smokers? Believe it or not, it was Hollywood. Yes when the rich and famous and the talented started smoking Cuban cigars in the 1990s, everybody wanted to get in on it. Even women were like shocked to see other beautiful women smoke Cuban cigars. It was just a wonderful thing that was good for everybody including the genre of Cuban cigars. When the ladies in Hollywood started doing it, all the ladies wanted to get in on the craze.

Soon women started working for Cuban cigar companies and especially the companies that started marketing Cuban cigars. Women were now just as much part of Cuban cigar marketing as they were for Beer and other very famous and desired products. Women and Smoking was now cool and everyone wanted to get their hands on a Cuban cigar.
