Double chin exercise is usually one form of exercise that you may not think about, but that you can do. Most people do not consider these kinds of exercises to work muscles of the face, but when you gain weight in the form of fat, your body stores it wherever it can. Fat can also be stored under the chin.
In order to lose the fat that you have, you need to burn fat with all over exercise. By doing special exercises that work the chin area, you can tighten those muscles and improve the look just as it can any other area of your body.
Even activities like standing and sitting up, keeping your posture straight and tall, and keeping your chin up and not letting your head drop can all help keep the muscles working. Letting your head fall forward, can lead to chin muscles that are not very toned.
Another common exercise is to lower your chin to your chest and then slowly lift your face towards the ceiling. This exercise stretches the muscles and helps to tone them. But you can also lie on your stomach and put your chin on a pillow, which can help you achieve the same kind of stretch, and is more comfortable to hold. You want these exercises that you do to be comfortable. If you strain or move your neck in an awkward way you could cause a painful injury, and that is going to make your chin problems worse.
Exercises that you can do to help tone your face and chin involve opening your mouth as wide as possible and then closing it. You can also try to open your jaw as much as you can, and then close it. Focus on how wide you are stretching your mouth, and pull the sides tight as if you were trying to say form the letter A.
These kinds of a double chin exercise, repeated at least a few times a day, will help tone the muscle that works your jaw and tighten that double chin.
