The Everyday Christian

Jul 30th, 2009 Posted in spirituality | no comment »

This article is mainly focused on true christianity

I have heard Christians say that there is no joy like the joy found at church during a Sunday service. Some even quote from Psalms 133. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity” (Ps. 133:1).

I agree that there is a special beauty when we gather together with other believers and are united in worshipping God through song, prayer, communion, and the Word of God.

They say that God does not care about sports so an athletic activity cannot be spiritual. I disagree with statements that sports can’t be spiritual. The word “whatever” of the above verse encompasses sports, shopping and entertainment.

In the Bible, Daniel showed great consistency in his behavior at all times. He served God regardless of circumstances.

If before I shop I ask God to give me discernment and self-control in my shopping, then my shopping can be God honoring. These things are ordinary, but God can be right there as I engage in them.

God has been teaching me to honor and thank Him for the ordinary things in life. I recently lost a piece on my glasses. After finding the support, I found myself thanking God again and again for the simple fact that he helped me find the piece.

We can reflect God’s holiness by not using dirty language and not laughing at dirty jokes at work. These are ordinary, everyday things, and they can be just as spiritual as reading the Bible and praying.

Our mind can be on God during the ordinary, not just during a great church service or during a time of devotion. Those who believe that God is only honored through a church service or a time of prayer are greatly limiting themselves in the presence of God.

Our Creator gave us the mountains and the valleys so that we can worship him as we enjoy them.

If after the Sunday morning service I never have God in my conversations my mind then my eyes are not fixed on Jesus; I am not an everyday Christian.

To live Everyday Christianity you must have your eyes set on Jesus everyday.

Astral Projection Techniques Explored

Jul 30th, 2009 Posted in spirituality | no comment »

Here are seven techniques of astral projection available to help people who want to try and use astral projection. People being as individual as they are means what works for some may not work for others. Some people have had difficulties with different methods. Because the method requires you to relax or it doesn’t work. If you can’t relax then you will have difficulty with astral projection.

Complete and total relaxation is essential to making any astral projection techniques successful. Part of the reason for the inability to relax is fear. This is very common with those that are just starting to relearn how to astral project. This fear comes from false beliefs that a person could die or be harmed because of the astral projection. In an effort to help squash those fears the Canterbury Institute, who is known for their occult studies, conducted a research study.

This study was done on 2000 people, all of whom participated in astral projection. What the institute found was that there wasn’t a single person in that followed astral projection techniques were harmed in anyway. What is even more important is that they followed those people for the last three years. Not a single participant have complained of any problems.

Now that any concerns or fears should be gone, let’s examine several different types of astral projection techniques, which are quite simple and have worked for several people. The 1st one is called the Monroe Technique. There are 7 primary steps to this particular astral projection technique.

* Relaxing mind and body is a must. Many techniques for learning to relax are available for you to use. Deep breathing is a simple one to use and is just deep breathing, slow and calm. Inhale deeply and exhale deeply. Relax all your muscles bodily, one at a time, alternately tensing and relaxing them. You can start down at your toes and work your way up.

* Enter into the hynagogic state. This is simply the where your mind and body are bordering going to sleep. You don’t want to go to sleep. You can use the gazing method to do this. Focus on an object as you lay in bed, and keep staring at it until your eyes close and you are still able to see the object.

* You see the object, your eyes are closed and now you need to move to a deeper state of relaxation. Look around, with your eyes closed and try to see other images in the room. The possibility is that you may see different and varied light patterns. The room may be clothed in a purple light, ignore it. But once you have seen the purple light, you will know you have entered a deeper state of relaxation. Completely relaxed, the awareness of your physical body will no longer be there and an important technique of astral projection, according to the Monroe.

* From what Monroe says, this is the most vital of the seven techniques of astral projection. The state of Vibration is the next to accomplish. People who have practiced the techniques of astral projection have noticed they feel these vibrations early into the projections. These people believe the feelings experienced is believed by them that this is the feeling when the astral body leaves your physical body. Nothing to be alarmed about, it is the vibrations you feel.

* Control the state of vibration. To do this focus on the vibrations and make them move through your body. Do this with your mind, you want your entire body to feel the vibrations, as if waves are washing over you. Keep practicing this until you are able to bring these waves on when you want to. Once you are able to create these waves on demand you are ready to leave the body.

* A vital component to successful astral projection and astral travel is control. Having control is that the one in power, is your mind . Monroe recommends practicing a “partial separation” to strengthen this control. Keeping mentally focused on leaving the physical body. Starting with a part of the body, like a foot or hand. Let it go the astral body. Stretching it to reach an object near you, maybe the wall, floor or another familiar object. Push your hand or foot through. After accomplishing this return your foot or hand back to the physical body Now you start to slow the vibrations and end the session. Lay down until your body has returned fully to an awakened state.

* This is when you totally leave your body. Do steps 1 -6, only instead of just releasing a foot or hand from the physical body do your whole body into the astral body. You only have to make an easy adjustment on step number 6. In place of concentrating on releasing only on body part, you are now going to concentrate on the release of the astral body, do this by imagining how light it feels, also your weightlessness as if you were light like feathers being blown in the breeze. The astral body should leave the physical body, you should have a feeling of flying or floating.

There are different methods for you to try. One method is the Rope Technique, also the Gazing Method, and then the Anchor Technique. Spending time trying these method to find which is suited to you. There is an astral projection technique for everyone. You just need to find one that is best for you.

However, you should be aware that not everyone is able to astral project instantly using the above techniques and some of these require a lot of practice.

However, a shortcut is available. Because of recent developments in the field of technology, there are many audio tools which can help you. New special sound frequencies known as Binaural beats, can synchronize the brains two hemispheres allowing an instant state of meditation, when needed for astral projection.

You can also get into the totally relaxed state needed by listening to quality astral projection techniques hypnosis recordings. These reinforce to the subconscious mind that it is okay for your astral body to leave your physical body.

Astral projection truly is a life changing experience for everyone who tries it and by using these techniques it is possible for anyone who wishes to, to experience it.

Contacting The Afterlife – Ordinary People Can, And Verify It

Jul 30th, 2009 Posted in spirituality | no comment »

An email from Milwaukee, USA asks how to rekindle a connection with a partner who recently passed away, showed ’signs’ but now it seems to have stopped. And was she meant to be with him at the end?

Despite my belief in being able to contact family and friends in the afterlife, I know some think I’m crazy. But that doesn’t bother me, because I get so many messages from ordinary people who find my simple idea works, and they verify it themselves which is great, and cool! I’m glad this lady got signs to start with, but I strongly believe she’s still getting them, and missing the subtle clues. I also feel there are reasons why we sometimes happen to miss the final moments of someone’s life.

I know it’s sad when they want to ‘go home’ but sometimes, we can’t always do what we wish. I don’t believe they hold that against us, and understand. My own father wanted to come home from hospital, but because I live a long way from his home, and there was no way we could provide care for him there, the hospital wouldn’t release him.

I received an email today sharing a beautiful story. Originally, this person wrote of how distressed she was feeling. She purchase the audio “Contacting the Afterlife – a Spoken Beginners Guide” from the website (philg.net.au or afterlifephilg.com). And although she didn’t think she could do it, her email today was a very excited one indeed, as she not only connected, but verified it was real. She was very surprised, and overwhelmed with joy at knowing her partner is still with her, and she can verify it!

I don’t feel your partner has ‘left’ you. If they seem to appear not to be around, there could be several reasons. But in your case, I feel it’s because you want too much, and miss the subtle signs. I mention it somewhere (my book, I think) that they get tired of trying to prove things all the time.

If you’re trying too hard, I advise you to think back to what happened when you WERE getting signs. Something happened IN YOUR MIND at the time you recognized a sign. Although something may have happened around you, there’s something, in your head, an inner feeling that “It’s Him”. You just KNOW. Do you follow this? It FEELS different.

So think about that feeling, and trust it a whole lot more than you do now. I know you miss him, and I know he cared for you, but I feel he wants to cradle you and hold you and hug you and help you get through it all. For others reading this, the same applies to you. If you follow my simple technique for verifying they’re with you (on my website), you’ll prove it to yourself. But the starting point is to BELIEVE THE POSSIBILITY of afterlife contact, and it becomes much easier to do, and verify.

On YouTube you’ll find my video “CoffeeTime” (there’s a link on my website) that helps to create a situation where they can be around, and you can feel them around, and verify it. As you’re not picking up on the signs right now, I’d like you to NOT ask for verification for the moment, but rather enjoy the feeling, the experience. It FEELS different when they’re near. Get used to that feeling in your heart and mind, and that will help you build a connection, and verify it later.

Use the ideas on my website if you want a connection, or to reconnect with loved ones in the Afterlife. Take it step by step, don’t try too hard. Relax, and gradually you’ll understand the connection, recognize it, and be able to verify it.

The Symbols In Freemason Illuminati And What They Mean

Jul 30th, 2009 Posted in spirituality | no comment »

There are many that believe that Masonry is some secretive type of religion where as the Freemasons vigorously refute this. They will tell you that yes they have a alter which supports the volume of the Sacred Law. Just what this is is not quite clear. They stipulate they open their meeting in prayer, but it is unclear as to whom they are praying to. Some temples will tell you that you just have to believe in a supreme being, while others say it is God. Then there is the concept because they use the name of temple for their meeting places then it must be religious. They state that they simply encourage their members to be active in a religion and church of their own choice.

It would seem that a new member would often receive a Masonic Bible as a gift. The claim is made that this is most often the Holy Bible being the King James Version. It has an added front page to name the recipient of the gift and the purpose for receiving it. Some of them may have a special index to show what the rituals are referring to in regards to scripture verses.

This can become quite confusing based on other information they have supplied. They say they don?t force a member into believing in God, yet they hand out King James Bibles. They say they don?t preach religion yet they depict scripture in their rituals.

In reference to rituals, they offer the fact that anything that is done repeatedly is a form of ritual. Such as starting a school program everyday with the same opening, or ongoing business meetings. The purpose of their rituals is simply a teaching aid, a way of getting their point across.

When it comes to reference of their use of symbols they simply indicate that any type of communication is a form of symbol and will quite often used the ordinary stop sign as being a symbol to indicate a purpose or meaning. The most common symbols used by the masons are?

The square and compass is the trademark of the Freemasons The square is meant to depict the earth and its responsibility to honor and truthfulness as well as integrity. The compass is a symbol of the spirit and self-control The G stands both for geometry in accordance with the beliefs of historical science in its relationship with God, and it stands for God as well. The gavel is to depict self-control and self-discipline as being key components of man. The hourglass is a reminder that time stands still for no man and there is no room for procrastination.

The meanings of most of the other Masonic symbols are obvious. The gavel teaches the importance of self-control and self-discipline. The hourglass teaches us that time is running up and procrastination is not an option.

The Masons have certain specific that they indicate that they teach. According to some they state that they teach, that God is the creator therefore all humans are children of God therefore they are all brothers and sisters. It would seem that this is the very concept that Christianity teaches yet the Masons feel they are not a religious organization. Their whole goal is to promote their members to be constantly bettering themselves spiritually and morally. This too is a goal of Christianity. When one looks closely at what the Masons purport as their teachings they on the surface look no different to what many of the standard religions teach.

The Secrecy Of Freemasonry & Its Relation To Christianity

Jul 29th, 2009 Posted in spirituality | no comment »

It?s quite well known that the much of the negativity that is shown towards the Freemasons is based on what is believed to be their secrecy. It would seem with all of the books and materials that have been published over the years there couldn’t possibly be any secrets left unturned if there were some in the first place. Others state that because the secrecy is the priority of the Masons what goes on has never been really released. The Masons look at the fact of keeping their rituals a secret as a bond and not some sinister act. Pro Masons will tell you there are no blood oaths or ceremonies that take place amongst the Masons and certainly no physical violence.

Anti Masons who refer to violence by way of punishment within the Mason walls have been said to glean their information from historical data of the Masons. This is not to say that the Masons of the 1700?s were party to violent acts either. It is said that their references from those days in regards to punishment was purely symbolic.

So where does the speculation come in that a Christian because of his beliefs could never become a Mason? It is based on the fact that the Freemasons state they allow all religions to enter their group. It is known that not all religious groups believe in Christ in the same way that the Christians do. The Christians believe that if they do not accept Christ as their way to get into heaven then there is no other way. Other religions do not abide by this. So how could a Christian become part of this organization that says a member must believe in a ?Superior Being??

The argument goes further. If there are Christians amongst the Masons that have the Christian belief then they are amongst those who they call their brothers that are non-Christian.

In addition to all of this the Freemasons also lays out a plan of salvation, which is depicted, with their ritual of the Common Gavel. It is said by some that this ritual is directed towards those who do not believe in Christ.

Therefore, what is believed to be the actual stand that the Freemasons have on religion. It is indicated that the Lodges have one main deity called the ?The Great Architect of the Universe?. In the lodge, all members must pray to this deity. They supposedly have a ritual that is based on the afterlife called the ?slaying and raising of Hiram Abif, who is know to be the Hero of the Masons.

The argument based on actions such as this would raise a better question as to what do Freemasons constitute as a religion if they do not consider themselves as such. In answer to this, some will say they do not have all of the constitution of what constitutes religion. They are referring to no creed, no claim to faith or doctrine, no theory and no worship regimes. They have no religious symbols such as those found in other religions. They raise no money for religion.

It is well known and that the Freemasons date back to at least the 1700?s and most likely even further than that. In those days, it was simply a gathering of stonemasons that enjoyed each other?s fellowship. It grew over the years as to what we now know as the Freemasons. It would seem more emphasis is placed on the fellowship as opposed to the literal sense of the trade of masonry.

The Importance Of Everyday Christianity

Jul 29th, 2009 Posted in spirituality | no comment »

This article is mainly focused on bible

In the life of a Christian, there should be no distinction between spiritual activities and ordinary activities. Every activity in our life should be spiritual.

Some people try to argue that there are activities that God does not care about, and therefore we cannot consider them spiritual.

If God is in my life every minute, then every minute of my life ought to be”spiritual.” I would, therefore, like to destroy the concepts of”spiritual activity” versus “ordinary activity” in life.

I can glorify God by engaging in an athletic activity. If as I play I am thanking God for the health and the ability to play, then I am honoring God even in sports.

If before I shop I ask God to give me discernment and self-control in my shopping, then my shopping can be God honoring. These things are ordinary, but God can be right there as I engage in them.

Some think that the only way to reflect God is by praying, reading our Bible and helping the poor. The truth is, we can show God’s goodness through a word of encouragement or a smile.

He saw that God came out on top in Daniel’s life regardless of what the situation around him was like. He was the same on any day of the week.

Our everyday activity takes up much more time than our prayer or Bible reading time. Why should we wait to honor God just when we have a time of devotion?

God is not satisfied with a time of prayer and Bible reading in the morning. God wants me to have him on my mind all the time because, after all, I am constantly on His mind.

If after the Sunday morning service I never have God in my conversations my mind then my eyes are not fixed on Jesus; I am not an everyday Christian.

To truly be a Christian, you must be an everyday Christian – with the thought of Jesus on your mind more than just during the Church Service.
