How To Stay Awake While At Work

Whether you love your job or not, you consider it to be your responsibility to wake up in the morning and move for the workplace. With all the yawning and groaning, you leave your bed in the morning. You wear some sensible clothing and off you go. Your employer might have the best IT certification and the most compatible IT security. However, if the employer knew that the workforce is sleeping at his workplace, he isn’t going to be very pleased. But you can’t do anything about it! The moment you set your eyes on the screen, you start yawning. Well, avoiding that isn’t so difficult.

If your eyes are seepy, the solution is to include another sense into action, for example, try to think about the sense of smell. A strong smell, either pleasant or bad can keep you active. This is because this way your attention is diverted from the sleepiness, and moves towards the scent. Rosemary, Eucalyptus blue gum, peppermint, coffee beans and Scots pine oil are some of the great fragrances many aroma-therapists advise. All you have to do is take a sniff from the bottle whenever you feel sleepy, and you will be able to stay awake for some time. Taking a power nap is also a great idea. However, ensure that the nap does not last more than 15-20 minutes. Otherwise, it might no longer serve the purpose of a power nap instead, you will start feeling more drowsy. Sit on a couch and take a small nap and get back to work soon after that.

Keeping the area close to your table appropriately illuminated might also offer the intention. It is advisable if you use natural light though, but artificial lights might also offer the purpose. The brighter the region, the tougher it would be to keep your eyes shut. Ultimately, you will stop feeling sleepy. Another idea is to keep yourself little at ease instead select a chair that is not too comfortable for you to lie on and sleep. Many times you must wander around or keep standing. When you are sitting, make sure you are sitting upright and avoid giving rest to your head either with the help of hands, desk or wall.

If you have a full tummy, you tend to sleep more. If you are refraining from sleeping, do not keep your appetite full throughout the day. The solution is to take short meals all day and avoid bigger meals. Wholesome snacks are the correct option for this. With that, you can enhance your caffeine intake to keep awake. However, do not take too much of coffee. Just take it in the form of small doses.

Music is also a great method of atying awake when you do not want to. Go for irritating music or something you do not really like. You may also want to toss your head a little with the music, in order to keep yourself occupied. Practice these guidelines to guarantee better performance at your office. Go to bed early at night so that you wake up fresh the next morning.
