There are all kinds of business related information readily available in various websites. Everyday millions of web pages are updated in internet related to small scale businesses. Entrepreneurs seems to search all kind of information through yahoo or Google and solve their problem in minutes.

A few years ago, businessmen have to depend on books and from the teachings that they have learned from their business degrees to learn of business resources that they can use to manage and boost the growth of their businesses. Liquidating the profits of the business, for example, needs some knowledge in accounting. With the introduction of the computers and related technologies, however, business resources for entrepreneurs become more readily available. A number of online business resources and tools, for example, are now available for any businessman who wishes to take advantage of business resources to improve the sales and profits of his business.

Never underestimate the importance of learning from your business colleagues though and the value of reading materials such as books and magazines that can provide you with business resources information that you can use. Many businessmen also learn of better business resources by enrolling in business degrees.

12 Profit Boosting Business Tips

Apr 15th, 2010 Posted in 2010-4 | 2 comments »
Michael M Walsh asked:

In the face of falling demand and intense competition every order has to be fought for. Getting it right isn’t an option; it is a survival strategy. Business owners often become complacent leading to a haemorrhage of lost orders that can cripple a firm. Most failings are avoidable. Here are twelve tips to help you survive the crisis.

Take the advice of your media advertising representative. They want you to succeed. A small advert placed frequently works better than the occasional larger one. Always use USP (unique selling points). Special offers for example. If you live in a bi-lingual area it doesn’t cost much to make your website bi-lingual. You wouldn’t put a notice on your door: ‘English Speakers Only’ would you? If the wording of your website or brochure is amateurish you will invite ridicule, not orders. Make better use of e-mails. They are real sales boosters when you know how. They have at least ten advantages over the telephone. I will list these shortly or e-mail me if you miss them. Poor signage is a no-no. How often I have heard it said: ‘But our customers know where we are.” Hello! The new ones do not. An attractive high visibility sign will be seen by hundreds, perhaps thousands a day. First impressions count. Sales are lost when potential clients telephone an answering machine. A telephone answering machine cannot answer questions, which is why most people call in the first place. Be polite; listen and respond transparently. If you are in business then being a sales person comes with the territory. Improve your people skills; be pleasant, informative, highlight the advantages of your service, and ask politely for the order. Never ignore a spouse or partner. If you don’t get the close right you won’t close. Be a pully-pully salesperson: Ask the customer; ‘Which would you prefer?’ or ‘Would Tuesday be alright or might Wednesday be better for you?’ Clients are offended and inconvenienced by poor timekeeping. If you are unavoidably delayed call them; explain; invite their understanding or suggest an alternative in order to avoid inconveniencing them. Customers are not stupid; do not treat them as though they are. Explain what has gone wrong, what is necessary to put it right and why. It is infuriating to be given a bill without a break down. If you do so you invite the allegation that you are cheating or over-pricing. Again, transparency keeps customers happy. Happy customers are your best sales staff. A man bought a business. The first thing he did was ask for a list of dormant clients. He discovered most had left due to poor service. By informing them of the change of ownership and addressing their concerns he learned lessons. Best of all he enticed most back. Always leave two or three business cards in your customer’s home or premises; where they can be seen. Respectfully ask your customer to recommend you and ask if they have friends or family who may be interested in your service. The most important rule of all: Always thank your client for their custom.

By following these basic rules you can double, even treble your turnover without it adversely affecting your outgoings.

Ladies, read this, tell me what you think please?

Apr 15th, 2010 Posted in 2010-4 | 14 comments »
Aphelia Buttz asked:

Hey ladies, I recieved this email from a fellow user, and I was just wondering what you all think about it? I had asked a question about Emma trying to play in her poop, and had a response about not potty training her soon enough, so I emailed her about it, and this was the response.

-Actually, I was potty trained a month before my first birthday. I didn’t need a night diaper when I was 1 and a half. Since 1 and a half, I never used diapers.
All people before diapers came out on the market, were potty trained at age 1. Ask your grandparents and maybe your parents if they missed the diaper-time. Also, a child whose brain is not required to do that work on time, gets delayed and that’s why you can’t potty train a child later, when they have already forgotten that it’s not normal to be in wet and dirty pants and pee in them all the time. That’s why potty training a child after age 2 is really difficult and some idiots say it’s “the child not being ready”. No, it’s the child’s brain missed the right time to do some work and decided that no work needs to be done, being slow is ok. If you ever try to potty train a 1yo, when they start walking, even if the child is 10 months old, you will be surprised how easy the child gets it and that no problems occur later (as pediatricians and everyone who got paid to promote diaper manufacturing will tell you). And, I see you are another dumb brain who believe that when someone is trying to sell something, they wouldn’t use so drastic ideas like interfering and stopping your child’s development.
No East-European or Asian child is left in diapers until age 2.-
I’m going to add that my daughter is 22 months, she will be 2 years old in july. She sits on the potty about 7-8 times a day. So I am not a lazy parent, and my daughter is not “behind” at all. Yes, we are working on potty training, and she is getting there. But a completely potty trained kid by 1 year old? What about accidents in the bed? Would that mean a 1 year old can get out of their crib/bed 5 times a night to go to the bathroom? I doubt they would even wake up!
Well, she has quite some knowledge for being 15 and 22 weeks pregnant. You’d think she would of used it to not get pregnant instead of insulting people on Y!A.
ay, that was harsh of me, I don’t usually judge people like that, but I just really don’t like this chick. Anyway, she does have a good point, that younger is better, and I agree that you can start potty training earlier than 2 years. We started with Emma at 17 months, and she is getting the hang of it, but I really don’t think she would of been able to be completely potty trained by 1 year old, let alone 10 months. I certainly hope that we can get her potty trained by 2- 2 1/2, and i’m sure she’ll pick it up rather quickly.

How is what the government does not any different than what a mafia does?

Apr 15th, 2010 Posted in 2010-4 | 9 comments »
Mike asked:

A government just seems to want to eliminate crime because they want to eliminate their competition. They don’t want the people to fight crime because this would eliminate thier power. Also like a mafia, there is no such thing as a balanced budget as there doesn’t need to be. A mafia will just extort money to finance their operations and to make profits. Unlike a business they will not just try to persuade the buyer to buy their service or product. The governments main premise is that might makes right and the ends justify the means. A mafia’s main goal is to rule and a governments main mission is to rule.
