As paid surveys become popular, so do paid survey scams. Most of the times, it’s hard to determine the legitimate ones. For newcomers like you, here are some tips you can do to ensure you don’t get hoodwinked online:
1. Don’t “pay” to get “paid”. If there’s anyone who should be getting paid, it’s you, not the survey sites. When you register with survey sites, you need to be assured that the site doesn’t require any fee. If you see one that asks for any amount, move on to the next site.
2. It’s easy to identify a survey site. You will know that a site is doubtful if its site is lacking all the pertinent information. When all you can see are claims that they are legitimate paid survey sites that promise you great opportunities to earn, chances are high that you are looking at a scam site. They will also send you spam messages when you sign up.
3. Always check the privacy policy. It should always assure you that they will never divulge or give out your personal information to any third parties. If you are just starting out, you will only be paid about $4 to $50 per completed survey. You only get to earn more if you answer more surveys. So if you read the lines “EARN 100 bucks by signing up,” mark that site as a scam.
6. Do your own research. Before signing up, Google it and see if you can find some comments about it. Often, there are reviews that will warn you about a scam site. This will give you a fair chance of taking out the weeds in the grass.
