The Importance Of Everyday Christianity

This article is mainly focused on bible

In the life of a Christian, there should be no distinction between spiritual activities and ordinary activities. Every activity in our life should be spiritual.

Some people try to argue that there are activities that God does not care about, and therefore we cannot consider them spiritual.

If God is in my life every minute, then every minute of my life ought to be”spiritual.” I would, therefore, like to destroy the concepts of”spiritual activity” versus “ordinary activity” in life.

I can glorify God by engaging in an athletic activity. If as I play I am thanking God for the health and the ability to play, then I am honoring God even in sports.

If before I shop I ask God to give me discernment and self-control in my shopping, then my shopping can be God honoring. These things are ordinary, but God can be right there as I engage in them.

Some think that the only way to reflect God is by praying, reading our Bible and helping the poor. The truth is, we can show God’s goodness through a word of encouragement or a smile.

He saw that God came out on top in Daniel’s life regardless of what the situation around him was like. He was the same on any day of the week.

Our everyday activity takes up much more time than our prayer or Bible reading time. Why should we wait to honor God just when we have a time of devotion?

God is not satisfied with a time of prayer and Bible reading in the morning. God wants me to have him on my mind all the time because, after all, I am constantly on His mind.

If after the Sunday morning service I never have God in my conversations my mind then my eyes are not fixed on Jesus; I am not an everyday Christian.

To truly be a Christian, you must be an everyday Christian – with the thought of Jesus on your mind more than just during the Church Service.
