Is Right Now The Time To End Your Relationship

If you are thinking that it may be time to end your relationship, it’s important to know how to end a relationship properly and whether you should be ending a relationship. Not every relationship that has problems needs to end, and not every relationship that has ended needs to stay that way. The trick is having the knowledge to make the right decision.

However, there are times when it’s important to end the relationship right now. If you or someone you know is experiencing verbal or physical abuse, dealing with adultery, or in an atmosphere that is harmful to your children, then it’s time to say goodbye. Walking way now will not only help you move on, but it will also give you the opportunity to start over.

However, these are obvious reasons and not something you should consider in other situations. For instance, there may come a time when you just don’t want the same things out of the relationship. Maybe one of you wants marriage and the other doesn’t. Maybe someone’s cheating, but whatever the case may be, these two scenarios are good reasons.

As far as tips go, it’s important to end a relationship without fighting. When you two first met, their was something you saw in the other person, so don’t forget about it when you end the relationship. Just keep your mental focus, and don’t be tempted to fight one another.

If you don’t do it the right way, neither one of you will be able to move on. So follow these guidelines and it will help the process:

Let the games stop. Seriously, we don’t know anyone who enjoys breaking up, but you have to refrain from making the other person feel horrible. Plus, it’s pretty dumb to try and get the other person to end the relationship. It’s human nature that we try to antagonize the other person when we break up, so think about that before you do it yourself.

It’s basically a trap. The easiest way for everyone to end their relationship is by being direct, honest, and proactive. If you treat the other person with respect, then it will keep either of you from feeling miserable.

Oh, and don’t email, text, or phone your partner to end the relationship. This is simply the coward’s way out, and it leaves all kinds of questions for everyone. We understand it’s a painful process, but it’s going to be even worse if you don’t end the relationship the right way.

But obviously, this is no way to end a relationship. If you do not interact with the other person will breaking up, you won’t have any kind of closure. This defeats the entire point of making a clean break. Do both of you a favor and break up in person in a relatively private place.

And please, be honest. You need to tell the other person exactly why you are ending the relationship. This isn’t easy, because they will have tendency to try and talk you out of it, but the truth is that lying to them about the reasons doesn’t help either of you. Be honest, even if they don’t want to hear it.

If you follow these three tips, you will find ending a relationship to be a much smoother, much more effective process. Be aware, though, that along the way, you might find that the problems you have are fixable. If this is the case, you need to find some resources to help you mend and repair the relationship.
